Virginia Asher is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Connecticut, and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky. During her internship at Asbury, she received training in Relationship Enhancement Therapy. She primarily practices Rogerian client-centered therapy and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Sessions are individualized to fit the needs of each client. She seeks to enhance communication and emotional skills in relationships. Virginia enjoys working with a variety of clients, including children age 12 and older, teens, college students, adults, and families. She deals with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, transition and/or adjustment issues, and life skills.
